Early Years:

Born and raised in Southern California, Gary started his journey in music at a young age. Beginning by learning how to play guitar and drums, Gary eventually learned to play a multiple array of instruments ranging from marching trombone to Marimba. During his early teenage years, Gary participated in marching bands and various ensembles. He later was introduced to sequencing and synths. A passion was born.

Academic Years:

Later in life he decided to turn what seemed as a hobby into a profession. He enrolled at Riverside City College with music as his focus. There he took courses in music theory, music technology, and private lessons in piano, orchestral percussion and drum set.

Accumulating a total of 6 degrees, Gary applied and was accepted into the prestigious Berklee College of Music. Located in Boston, MA, Gary studied engineering, production, post production audio and video game audio; dual majoring in the college's toughest programs: Music Production & Engineering and Electronic Production & Design. After months of tumultuous coursework, Gary completed the 5 year dual degree in 3 years, graduating Magna Cum Laude. He completed Berklee with musical, production, and engineering skills that range from composition, sound design, sampling, sound replacement, ADR, leading album productions, and engineering records.

Over the years Gary has been mentored by and has studied off of multi award winning Producers and Engineers who’s credits include: Aerosmith, the Notorious B.I.G. Puff Daddy, Usher, Dave Mathews Band, Nine Inch Nails, Sting, Aretha Franklin, Prince, Brandy, Barenaked Ladies, Duran Duran, Neil Young, Neil Diamond, Tracy Chapman, Mary J Blige, Boyz II Men, David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, and Radiohead. Gary attributes much of his success to the years spent learning from these greats.

Professional Years:

Post Berklee, Gary has worked out of some of the most prestigious studios in LA. Among those include Rick Rubin's Shangri-la Studios Malibu; Sphere Studios, North Hollywood; Igloo Music, Burbank; Clear Lake Recording Studios, North Hollywood; Los Olivos Recording Studios, LA and Big Fish Recording Studios, Encinitas, CA. As a freelance Producer/Engineer, Gary has produced and engineered on sessions in multiple genres including Rock, R&B, Urban, Alternative, Pop, World, Latin, and EDM. Notably, Gary has participated on numerous projects with award winning artists, producers, and engineers. Session work includes: Santana, Eminem, Maroon 5, Lady Gaga, The Strokes, Bring Me The Horizon, Telemundo, and more.

In the audio post production world, Gary's sound design and Foley work can be heard in the summer 2019 theatrical release
Dauntless - Battle of Midway, directed by Mike Phillips. Other TV and Film work includes Telemundo's Mi Familia Perfecta, Escuela Para Seductores, and Tod@s Caen - also released in summer of 2019.

In the music business realm, Gary has established relationships with music business professionals who specialize in correlative production environments such as artist management, music publishing, and licensing. As a music publisher, Gary founded Aloure Music - a music production and artist development platform he created for independent artists who seek song placement amplification and career development.

In the indie realm, clients that have worked with Gary have gone on to open for artists such as Juanes, Martina McBride, Kelly Clarkson, Ziggy Marley, Santana, POD, Godsmack, Alien Ant Farm, and Black Rebel Motorcycle Club. Artists who have worked with Gary have also gone on to perform at major music festivals such as the Rockstar Uproar Tour, Cumbre Tejin, the Latin GRAMMYS, Rockapalooza, and Wasteland Weekend. In addition, artists have also signed with major label publishers such as Sony/ATV, have had song placements in films, and have participated in corporate partnerships.
